Conducted by UbiSim, the survey engaged over a thousand nurse learners and educators to assess VR's practical benefits in nurse training.
The majority of respondents, currently using UbiSim’s immersive VR platform, highlighted VR’s growing relevance in nursing programs.
The survey found that 43% of nurse learners favor VR-based simulations, with a significant number preferring headset-based VR experiences.
Additionally, 69% reported comfort in using VR headsets, with 75% affirming that VR simulations effectively prepare them for nursing careers.
VR's Advantages Over Traditional Training
VR's flexibility allows for anytime, anywhere access, reducing reliance on traditional, resource-intensive training methods.
This aspect is crucial for frequent practice sessions, leading to enhanced competency and confidence in nurse learners.
Christine Vogel, Lead Nurse Educator at UbiSim, commented on VR’s educational benefits, said:
