This page explains what information Morning Tick collects, why, and what choices you have.

Information We Collect

Information you give us. When you email us, send a press release, subscribe to our newsletter or join the Thought Pulse Network, we receive what you share, such as your name, email address, job title, company and message. Contributors also give us a bio, photo and links for their public profile page.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the site, we and our service providers record basic technical details, such as your browser, device, approximate location based on your IP address, and the pages you view.

We don't ask for sensitive personal information, so please don't send it.

How We Use It

•        To run the website and keep it working properly

•        To reply to messages, corrections, press releases and contributor enquiries

•        To publish contributor articles and profiles, with the contributor's agreement

•        To send our newsletter to people who subscribe

•        To understand which stories readers find useful

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't run advertising on the site.

Cookies And Analytics

We use Google Analytics to see how visitors use the site. It sets cookies, and Google processes that data under its own privacy policy. You can block cookies in your browser settings or install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Newsletter

If you subscribe, we store your email address to send you the newsletter. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to delete your details at any time.

Service Providers

We use Ghost to host the site, images and newsletter, Google Analytics to measure traffic, and email and security providers to run our inbox. Each handles information under its own privacy policy.

Our stories link to other websites, and our sharing buttons connect to services such as X, Bluesky, LinkedIn, Facebook, WhatsApp and Reddit. Once you leave morningtick.com, those sites' own privacy policies apply.

How Long We Keep It

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as the law requires. Published contributor profiles stay live until the contributor asks us to remove them.

Your Rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or withdraw your consent, by emailing contact@morningtick.com. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under laws such as India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no way of sending or storing data online is completely secure.

Children

Morning Tick is written for professionals, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
