Just a few days ago, South Korean tech giant, Samsung launched Exynos 9611 chipset with its latest handset, Samsung M30s. It seems that this is the right time to compare it with its previous generation chipset, Exynos 9611.

Samsung Exynos 9610 chipset uses a dual cluster octa-core CPU. Four of the cores are Cortex A73 cores clocked at 2.3 GHz while the other four cores are Cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.7 GHz. Exynos 9611 chipset will use dual cluster octa-core CPU; four of the cores will be Cortex A73 cores clocked at 2.3 GHz while the other four cores will be Cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.7 GHz. All the CPUs are made of 10nm technology.

In order to enhance the overall photography experience offered, both the Exynos processors come with an AI-based vision image processing unit.

As far as the graphics unit is concerned, both the Exynos chipsets are going to be powered by a Mali G72 MP3 GPU. As far as display is concerned, both Exynos 9610 and Exynos 9611 supports 1600 x 2520 pixel resolution Full HD+ display. When it comes to battery charging, both Exynos 9610 and Exynos 9611 chipsets supports Adaptive Fast Charging technology.

Along with the Cortex octa-core CPUs and Mali GPU, both the Exynos chipsets are powered by LPDDR4X RAM.

So far, Exynos 9610 supported up to 24MP single or Dual 16MP + 16MP camera on both front and rear. It is expected that Samsung will bring some changes here. It is being heard that Samsung’s upcoming chipset, Exynos 9611 supports up to 24MP single camera or dual 16MP + 16MP just like its predecessor, Exynos 9610. It seems that this camera feature will be enhanced up to 64 MP.

On the other hand, as far as connectivity is concerned, both Exynos 9611 and Exynos 9610 chipsets come with LTE modem integration and offer upload speed up to 150 Mbps and download speed up to 600 Mbps

Last, but not the least, let us come to the benchmark scoring of the Exynos 9610 and Exynos 9611 in popular indices like AnTuTu and Geekbench. At the Geekbench benchmark index, Exynos 9611 chipset’s predecessor, Exynos 9610 chipset scored 1680 points in single-core and 5446 points in multi-core.

On the other hand, Exynos 9610 chipset’s successor, Exynos 9611 chipset scored 1690 points in single-core and 5540 points in multi-core. When compared on par against each other, Exynos 9611 is clearly the winner but the difference between them is very small.

In the AnTuTu benchmark index, Exynos 9611 chipset’s predecessor, Exynos 9610 scored 151136 points. However, Exynos 9611 chipset AnTuTu benchmarks scores are not yet available and we will share them as soon once they listed.
