The Chinese smartphone manufacturer revealed that its service ecosystem is moving ahead rapidly by extending its reach to over 700 million global Huawei device users. The data, which was unveiled at the 19th China Internet Conference on July 23, highlighted a year-on-year growth of 32%.

“AppGallery, Huawei’s official app distribution platform, covers more than 170 countries and regions. With this coverage, we hope to share local digital innovation with the world. We want every innovative app developed by global partners to reach all 700 million Huawei device users,” stated Zhang Ping’an, President of Consumer Cloud Service, Huawei Consumer Business Group.

Huawei also pointed out that it had reached 1.6 million global developers with HMS Core open capabilities. This is 76% higher than the previous year.

Earlier, it had announced an incentive program amounting to $1 billion exclusively for global developers. Over 10,000 apps utilized the program.

Enhanced features for smooth user experience

Over time, Huawei has introduced many innovative apps to ensure a smooth digital experience. For instance, the Quick App, a type of installation-free app, offers users with facilities like automatic updates of HTML 5 pages without consuming too much space.

Another platform named Ability, which is powered by AI technology provides a space for developers to deliver their services and users to have a high-quality experience.

Moreover, apps including Huawei Video, Huawei Music, and Huawei Reader have delivered quality services to customers spread across the globe.

Adding to this, HMS offers an extensive array of security measures to guard user privacy. These include authentication, authorization, encryption of services, strict review of mobile apps to be launched in Huawei’s AppGallery, and enhanced network security through secure data transmission channels.
