The iPhone admirers are eagerly awaiting the release of Apple’s 2020 iPhones. The products which are rumored to be called iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro are predicted to arrive in three display sizes– 5.4, 6.7 and 6.1 inches. A total of four iPhones are expected to announce its arrival. However, it is not all good news for Apple followers.
Rumors are surfacing regarding the series’ delayed launch and low battery capacity.
The delayed launch of the iPhone 12
Apple is known for revealing its iPhone series by September. But this year, rumors suggest a worrisome time for iPhone lovers. As per Japanese blog Macotakara, iPhone 12 series launch could extend up to November.
The major Apple Inc. supplier, Broadcom Inc., also hinted the same. If Apple had plans to release the latest versions by September, it would have given its suppliers early orders in the current quarter. But, this has not happened, reported Bloomberg.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, Apple has not sent its engineers to China to make final decisions regarding the 2020 models. Rather, it had asked its employees to adopt work from home facilities. To add to this, a number of Chinese suppliers closed their production. All these hints the delayed release of iPhone 12.
According to Apple analyst Ming Chi Kuo, the 6.1 and 5.4-inch models are expected to head for mass production by September, while the 6.7 inch model with an intrinsic design would only be mass-produced by October.
Kuo also predicted that the upcoming models would be on sale without any charger or EarPods. Instead, the company would separately release a 20W power adapter and end the production of existing 5W and 18W adapters.
Shocking battery power
A rumor which cited SafetyKorea certification was up on Twitter suggesting that one of the new models would arrive in 2775 mAh battery capacity. This is intriguing as the series is expected to support 5G connectivity which requires more power.
Expected price and other specifications
Kuo also predicted that the iPhone’s production costs would soar high due to the inclusion of 5G connectivity. However, there are chances that Apple would tag a reasonable price compared to the models’ predecessor, iPhone 11. As per Bloomberg reports, the new series would feature the design specifications of iPad and would have flat screens.
