Apple’s second-generation AirPods Pro to be released by second half of 2021

Apple gears up for the launch of the second generation of AirPods Pro. According to Taiwanese media DigiTimes Today, the company is expected to make a launch in the second half of next year.

Inventec will assemble at least some of the next-generation AirPods Pro in 2021. Luxshare Precision and GoerTek, the current AirPod Pro manufacturers, will also share in it, reported DigiTimes.

Reliable Apple analyst Ming Chi Kuo had predicted that Apple is developing a second-generation version of AirPods Pro. It was expected to be up for mass production from the fourth quarter of 2021 to the first quarter of 2022. This was an indication that there would be no updates for the product in 2020 or early 2021.

Future AirPods may contain light sensors, which can be used for health monitoring functions. This feature allows the product to monitor heart rate, steps and health; detection of head movement is also a merit. The sensors may be added to the AirPods within the coming one or two years.

Apple AirPods 3: Launch, Rumor and Release Date

There is a rumour that Apple is still developing the third generation of low-end AirPods. The company is planning a launch for the product by the first half of 2021. According to Ming Chi, the third-generation model was expected to adopt the design of current AirPods, which later was changed to the design of ‘AirPod Pro’.

Apple’s next-generation AirPods 3 is expected to adopt a compact system-in-package (SiP) solution. It is likely to accommodate Apple’s H1 chip which enables clearer audio, Siri commands and noise-cancelling capabilities., added Kuo.
