Samsung is all set to launch its digital payment service called the Samsung Pay Card. The Korean tech giant is partnering with Curve, the digital banking platform, and also Mastercard which is the payment processor. Samsung announced on Wednesday that “ The all-new digital payments solution will offer Samsung customers greater flexibility and control when managing their finances by offering a single view of spend, whilst also enabling a simple and secure way to pay”.
Curve is a Fintech start-up based in the UK. The Curve card allows the customers to aggregate all their payment cards through its mobile app which accompanies the curve card. This way, the user can make payments and withdrawals using a single card.
Samsung calls this Pay Card a unique payment solution and claims that this will be a true digital wallet experience to their customers. They also ays that the Pay Card will make the digital payments more simple. The partnership between Samsung and Curve is the first of its kind in UK and it is the first time that Samsung is working with the innovative Fintech startup Curve.
The new payment solution will be available through Samsung Pay, said Conor Pierce, the corporate wise president of Samsung UK and Ireland region. He said that “ We are delighted to announce this new partnership with Curve, coming together to provide a new payment solution for Samsung customers which will be available via Samsung Pay later this year”.
Curve had added its technical support to Samsung phones in November 2019 which allowed the users to make online payments/ mobile transactions easy. Samsung has been trying to persuade many other banks and online banking platforms to partner with them for the digital payment.
Hence, the curve partnership is crucial for their business development of this new digital payment platform. They hope that this tie-up will change their business in a better way.
