Meizu announces its first 5G smartphones, Meizu 17 and 17 Pro

Meizu’s first 5G compatible smartphone features a rounded body and a camera lined up side by side. The size and design remain the same, but the Meizu 17 Pro has been upgraded to camera specs and the back panel has been changed to ceramic.

Equipped with the Snapdragon 865, other specs are sufficient as a flagship model. Let’s look at the detailed specs.

The Meizu 17 is 5G compatible, features a 6.6-inch Samsung Super AMOLED display, and the SoC is the Snapdragon 865. The camera is a quad camera, followed by a 64MP main camera by Sony IMX686, and is configured to be 12MP, wide angle, 8MP, ultra wide angle 118°, 5MP, macro. Also, the in-camera that is in the punch hole is 20MP.

It is unusual to have a wide-angle lens and even an ultra-wide angle. The display refresh rate is up to 90Hz. Security is in-screen fingerprint authentication, battery capacity is 4500mAh and supports rapid charging of 30W. The body size is 160 x 77.2 x 8.5 mm and weighs 199g.

The price is 3699 yuan for the base model 8GB/128GB and the 8GB/256GB top model is 3999 yuan.

The basic design and specs of the Meizu 17 Pro are similar to the Meizu 17, but the back panel is made of ceramic to give a high-quality impression. In addition, the camera specifications have improved, and the configuration after the main camera of Sony IMX686, 64MP is 32MP (super wide angle 129°) + 8MP (telephoto) + ToF sensor.

The battery capacity is the same, but in addition to the rapid charging of 30W, it also supports 27W of contactless charging. This may require a special charger.

The price is 4299 yuan for the base model 8GB/128GB and the top model of 12GB/256GB is 4699 yuan.
