Huawei filed a patent for the design of a new speaker to the World Intellectual Property Organization on February 2, 2020, and announced it on April 9.
Patented images show that the speaker is designed with an oval shape, with a sound output hole at the top and a tapered shape from the side. The speaker has a switch button, volume key, Bluetooth key and a circular key on the front of the speaker, presumably to change the track.
The USB interface for charging and the presumed microSD card slot are located on the left side of the speaker, so it can be said that Huawei’s speaker design is very interesting.
Huawei’s speaker is likely to feature the Celia voice assistant in Huawei’s P40 lineup for smart functionality. Unfortunately, there is not much information about the speaker, and since it is still in the patent stage, IT Home cannot tell whether Huawei will put it into commercial use.
In addition, Huawei Sound X speakers were recently unveiled overseas, with a total of six tweeters and a double subwoofer that produces 360-degree Hi-Res audio. Do share your thoughts on Huawei Smart Speaker in the comment section below!
