Today, AMD introduced two of its new processors. Both the processors belong to AMD’s 3rd generation Ryzen lineup of desktop CPUs. Both the processors use Zen 2 architecture. The name of the two AMD processors are the Ryzen 3 3100 and the Ryzen 3 3300X. These models will be available for sale from May 2020 onwards and they will come with a budget friendly price tag.
Both AMD Ryzen 3 3100 and AMD Ryzen 3 3300X are quad core processors with a rated TDP of 65W and a cache memory of 18 MB for reducing memory latency. The company claims that this will results in “smoother, faster gaming performance for high framerates in CPU heavy games.”
AMD Ryzen 3 3100 is powered by a base clock speed of 3.6 GHz with a boost frequency of 3.9 GHz while, on the other hand, AMD Ryzen 3 3300X is powered by a base frequency of 3.8 GHz and a boost frequency of 4.3 GHz. Both these AMD processors come with AMD’s “Simultaneous Multi Threading” technology support which increases productivity.
As of now, the company has not revealed anything regarding the performance numbers but mentioned that AMD Ryzen 3 3100 processor performs about 20% better in gaming and 75% better in creator apps than its competitors.
Interestingly, the company has teased AMD AMD Ryzen 3 3100 against Core i3-9100. On the other hand, the company teased that AMD Ryzen 3 2300X will come with high quality settings suitable for professional gamers such as 1080p.
The cheapest AMD Ryzen 3 3100 processor is tagged with a price tag of US $ 99 and the cheapest Ryzen 3 3300X is priced at US $ 120.
