According to reports, the alleged specifications of Microsoft Surface Go‘s successor, Surface Go 2 has surfaced online. The leak considers that Microsoft Surface Go 2 will be powered by Intel Core M3 and Intel Pentium variants.
Initially, this was leaked in the form of a Twitter tweet from an account that goes by the name _rogame. Rogame said that the Core M3 variant will come with a dual-core Intel Core M3 8100Y CPU clocked at 1.10 GHz. The base clock frequency will be clocked at 1.6 GHz while the boost frequency will be clocked at 3.4 GHz.
As far as graphics is concerned, it is tipped to have integrated Intel UHD 615 graphics. The handset will be powered by 8 GB of RAM and there will be 256 GB of SSD. Rogame said that both models use the same SSDs from Surface Pro 7 and Surface Pro X.
The base Pentium variant will be equipped with a dual-core Intel Pentium 4425Y CPU clocked at 1.7 GHz with no boost clocks. Microsoft might implement the same Intel UHD 615 graphics and 8 GB RAM combo here. However, this model might possibly come with a 128 GB SSD.
It must be noted that Surface Go got launched with Windows 10S, which later got rebranded to S mode. Both the models will run on the 64-bit version of Windows 10. It would be better if you consider this leak with a grain of salt and wait for Microsoft’s final as well as official announcement regarding the configuration details. As of now, we don’t have any information regarding the pricing and availability of Surface Go 2. Surface Go came with a tagged price of INR 37999 in India.
