Back in December, last year, Microsoft introduced its latest gaming console, the Xbox Series X with a conventional design that people did not had not expect. The gaming console came with a boxy design. It must be noted that very soon after the introduction of the Xbox Series X, it became a meme content. People all over the world started comparing the gaming console with refrigerators, trash cans, skyscrapers, and much more. On the other hand, the company took this criticism as a constructive one.

The official Xbox Twitter handle of Microsoft shared a picture of the console comparing the size of the Xbox Series X with that of a fridge as an attempt to ensure that there is no chance the Xbox Series X can be mistaken for a fridge.

The Twitter post mentioned “Fridge for scale” while comparing the size of the Xbox to a fridge. The post also lists the height of a normal fridge at 1778 mm and compared it with that of Xbox Series X. Xbox Series X comes with a height of 301 mm. As far as width and breadth are concerned, the width and breadth of the Xbox Series X stand at 151 mm only, while the fridge Microsoft teased had a width of 635 mm breadth of 762 mm.

With that post, Microsoft not only assured people that even though it might look like a fridge, but Xbox Series X is also nowhere close to the size of a real fridge. It seems that with this post, Microsoft took on its memers to spread the message that Microsoft Xbox Series X is closer to any other gaming console than a fridge.

It must be noted that as per Microsoft, Xbox Series X is the next generation gaming console that will drive away from its competitors with its performance.  The device is scheduled for a commercial launch somewhere in the holiday season in 2020. Microsoft has recently revealed a handful of specifications of this upcoming console. Xbox Series X will be powered by a 16 GB GDDR6 RAM and an octa-core AMD Zen 2 CPU coupled with a 12 Teraflops RDNA 2 class GPU. The company also said that on the ongoing Game Stack Live event, they will reveal some more features of the Xbox Series X. The Game Stack Live event will be streamed live online today and tomorrow.
