Yesterday, Tencent and PUBG Corporation made a big announcement on behalf of the upcoming PUBG Mobile Pro League. They said that this PUBG Mobile Pro League will be converted into an online competition until further notice. Interestingly, they have also mentioned why they have finally taken this drastic decision. They said that this decision is taken due to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak.
The company also gave an official statement in this regard. They said “The health and safety of our players and staff are our first priority. Hence, we have decided to convert the PUBG MOBILE Pro League South Asia 2020 to the online event due to unforeseen circumstances related to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.”
Now, the so called PUBG gaming league will kick start from 19th March 2020 without any fan or audience presence. If someone is still interested in trying out this game then they would have to check out the official live streaming platforms. As of now, the official live streaming partners of PUBGM India are Facebook and YouTube.
The company added “We adhere to all the guidance and recommended precautionary measures as we continue to welcome you to enjoy PUBG MOBILE.”
Interestingly, with this upcoming gaming league Tencent Games will now join the growing list of tech companies who have been moving their events online. It must be noted that coronavirus is playing a big role recently. So far companies like Google, Facebook and Microsoft have been canceling their events. Google canceled its I/O 2020 event while Facebook canceled its F8 event and Microsoft its MVP Summit.
