It is reported that last Tuesday, Microsoft has released the build 19041.84 version of Windows 10. Microsoft said that this new patch update is part of a servicing update to the 2004 RTM build version.
Reports suggested that this build was finalized back in December 2019 but it was not released. Basically, Microsoft gave itself more time so that this update can not only just add polish but also iron out all bugs before it is finally released for the larger audience.
Within just two days, today, Microsoft is going to release the 20H1 build via Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) Microsoft is doing this because they want organizations to be able to begin preparing for their latest Windows 10 version 2004.
Earlier this week, Microsoft published more information on how the new Windows 10 update can be pushed to WSUS. You should note that if you have already added Windows pre-release to your catalogue on WSUS then the build version 19041.84 will replace the existing build of your system.
To know more, you can go to the Windows Insider Docs page because it contains a list of all the features and security update information that has been announced by the company so far. Basically, Microsoft released ISOs of build 19041 yesterday so if you are interested to install the build on a VM for testing then you can do it from downloading the ISOs from here. In short, it is for developers.
The build number suggests that it would be available from sometime in April 2020. The build will be offered via WSUS so the company might make it to the Release Preview ring sooner. Some experts are expecting the Media Creation Tool to get an update with the ISOs for 20H1.
