Sony Xperia Pro announced with Snapdragon 865 chipset

Today, in the afternoon, renowned tech giant Sony has announced its next handset, the Sony Xperia Pro. According to the company itself, Sony Xperia Pro is in “technical development” and developers are still working behind it. It is tightly integrated with 5G networks and cameras. At first glance, it might resemble the latest Xperia phone but in reality, Xperia Pro will be more powerful as the name suggests.

Sony’s main target is photographers and videographers. According to Sony, in the industry, there is a big issue that needs to be addressed for those users who are transmitting content so they have built this device for them especially.

At CES 2020 event, Sony showed the operator Verizon’s demo which used Xperia smart devices as a camera’s modem to connect it to a broadcast truck. Sony Xperia Pro packs this feature and looks as simple as a regular smartphone. It will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chip along with 8 GB Ram and 512 GB internal storage.

Sony Xperia Pro can come with a screen that is larger than most cameras and camcorders back panels, but more convenient to carry. There is also a USB-C port for charging.

Sony Xperia Pro pushes the screen further yet it is more flexible. The HDMI port acts as the monitor of high resolution and color accuracy.
