During the CES 2020 event, Canon announced the EOS 1D X Mark III now the company has launched the flagship DSLR camera in India. The DSLR comes with a price tag of INR 575995 for the body. Interestingly, the price matches the price declared by Canon India tweet during the time of the announcement.

The new product is poised to take the EOS legacy forward and further enable us to promote the photography culture in India. We are confident that our latest offering will cater to the growing list of professional photographers in India and open up newer possibilities in the imaging space.”
The camera will be up for sales from February 2020 onwards and it will be available in all major retail outlets across the country. The price includes a CFExpress memory card of 512 GB and a card reader.
EOS 1D X Mark III will come with a 20.1 MP full-frame CMOS sensor with a new ‘high detail’ low-pass filter. It will include Digic X and Digic 8 image processors. According to the company these image processors have the potential to deliver up to 3.1 x image processing, 380 x better Dual CMOS AF performance if compared with its predecessor. The new camera offers an improved ISO range also.
The camera can shoot 16 fps burst shots using the optical viewfinder, 20 fps burst photos with live view and it is also capable of holding 1000 images. When you use the optical viewfinder, you will get 191 AF points, with 155 of them being cross-type and when you use live view, there is Canon’s Dual Pixel CMOS AF system with 3869 manually selectable AF points.
This DSLR can also perform head, face and eye-tracking by using its Artificial Intelligence deep learning algorithms.
It can shoot 12 bit 5.5 K RAW video internally and oversampled 4K video at 60 fps. In Canon Log, it can shoot 10 bit 4:2:2 colour sampling. It can also shoot 10-bit stills in the HEIF image format.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. It comes with a Gigabit Ethernet port. The company considers that the DSLR is the battery is rated to capture 2850 shots per charge. The device weighs 1.4 kg.
