During the Realme X50 launch event that took place in China this week, Realme Chief Marketing Officer, Xu Qi Chase teased that they are going to follow the footsteps of big Chinese tech giants such as Xiaomi and OnePlus when it comes to expansion in terms of Smart TV.
Chinese tech blog, IT Home reported that Xu Qi Chase also hinted that we might see the first Realme branded smart TV within this year. However, the report did not highlight any definitive timeline for the Realme Smart TV.
Just a year ago, there was a rumour in the tech circles that Realme might come up with its first smart TV but for unknown reasons it never e materialized.
With this teaser from Xu Qi Chase, it seems that Realme has cooked something silently and is looking for a grand launch. It will be interesting to note down what Realme has to offer in its smart TV to be in the competition.
Though we don’t have any idea about a single specification housed by the upcoming Realme Smart TV, it should be noted that most likely, Realme will tag its Smart TV with a price tag less than that of Xiaomi’s Mi TV.
Right now, in the Indian market, this BBK owned brand, Realme is becoming Xiaomi’s biggest headache. In India, this tech giant has already established itself as the 4th major smartphone vendor within just a year and a half of its inception. The story does not end here. The company is also going after Xiaomi’s leadership position when it comes to the entry-level smartphone category.
Just a few days ago, the company also admitted that they are going to launch their own fitness brand. sooner rather than later.
