According to reports, Apple is going to offers custom engraving for its AirPods and AirPods Pro earphones from now on. Customers will be able to choose from a limited range of emojis, or they might even create their own names by using an alphabet.
However, this service is not retroactive, so anyone who has bought an Airpod in the Christmas holiday period won’t get it, but new customers will be able to give their new earphones a personal touch.
As of now, 30 emojis are available, and customers can choose from them. However, one more drawback of this newly introduced service by Apple is that the emojis have not yet been colored. They are colorless.
Emojis on offer include popular choices like different types of smiles. It even consists of the smiling poop emoji in its database. Similar, users will be able to choose from the alphabet, which offers the scope of something unique. It should be noted that anything profane is blocked!
Right now, custom engraving over AirPods and AirPods Pro devices is exclusively available in the US, Canada, UK, Australia, and Japan. Users can click on the option “Buy” to enjoy these free engraving options.
Apple launched its second generation of Airpods last year and added the option of custom engraving on the charging case. Now, the company is announcing new options to customize the charging case of the AirPods with larger text and emoji.
The newly designed banner of Apple says, “New personal engraving options, from A to emoji” on its website home page.
If you want to customize Airpods with texts and emojis yourself all you have to do is go to the Apple Online Store through the “Customize it for free” option which you will get as soon as you select “Earphones.”
