Xiaomi Notebook Pro Enhanced Edition gets Intel Core i5 variant

Last year, back in October, Chinese tech giant Xiaomi announced the Enhanced Version of Xiaomi Notebook Pro which sported a 10th generation Intel i7 processor, a 100% sRGB high color gamut, and a dual-pipe cooling system.

This Xiaomi Notebook Pro laptop was the first-ever device to comer with the configuration of Core i7-10510U processor, 16 GB RAM and 1 TB storage.  This Intel i7 variant was available for sale from 1st November 2019 onwards and it came with a price tag of 6,999 yuan (around $1,005). Today, the company announced that the Xiaomi Notebook Pro Enhanced Edition will be available in Intel’s Core i5 processor as well!

Interestingly, Xiaomi Notebook Pro Enhanced Edition comes with a configuration of Intel’s Core i5-10210U processor with 8 GB of RAM, 512 GB SSD, and MX250 and was tagged with a price tag of 5,899 yuan (around $847).

As far as other configurations are concerned, this Xiaomi Notebook Pro Edition was powered by a 14nm chipset which came with four cores and eight threads with a clocking up to 4.2 GHz.

Xiaomi has also upgraded the screen of this notebook. The color gamut is to 100% sRGB from 72% NTSC and the brightness is kept the same at 300 nits. Xiaomi Notebook Pro i5 version is specially designed for gamers. It is also equipped with a 16 GB of dual-channel DDR4 2666 RAM which is the standard configuration of any gaming laptop nowadays. The company also claimed that this RAM will open large files faster than normal.

Other improvements include the cooling system. Xiaomi upgraded its cooling system from a single heat pipe to a double heat pipe with this device. Moreover, the heat conduction area is made larger which will make room for enhanced heat dissipation.

Xiaomi Notebook Pro Enhanced Edition i5 variant also comes with Xiaomi mutual transmission support, Xiaomi pictorial support, and Xiaomi cloud service support. Along with these, Xiaomi has also fixed a couple of bugs and came up with upgraded software in its system long with a smart unlocker. Currently, the laptop is listed on JD.com  with a price tag of 5,899 yuan.
