Recently, ASUS has launched a new Wi-Fi 6 router named RT-AX56U. It has a frequency of 2.4 GHz at 574 Mbps, 5 GHz at 1201 Mbps. The device comes with a price tag of 899 yuan.
On December 25th, ASUS brought home a new Wi-Fi 6 RT-AX56U, dual-band 1800Mbps, The company is offering pre-sale from 25th to 31st December 2019 at a price of 849 yuan and deposit accepted is within the range of 10 yuan to 60 yuan.
According to ASUS, the traditional Wi-Fi system cannot fully utilize the bandwidth. The new generation 802.11ax network system integrates MU-MIMO technology and Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access technologies together to effectively allocate channels and simultaneously The communication delay of each device is lower, and the multi-device transmission is theoretically increased by 4 times.
The company stated that the 802.11ax technology combines OFDMA and MU-MIMO technology and increases network capacity and efficiency by up to 4 times in traffic-intensive environments. The previous generation of 802.11ac Wi-Fi could only handle one device per network channel at a time.
The 802.11ax Wi-Fi OFDMA support divides each channel into smaller sub-channels allowing signals from multiple devices to be bundled together and transmitted simultaneously so the latency is decreased.
According to reports, this router supports the latest generation of WiFi 6 technology, comes with 2 * 2 dual-band and is equipped with Broadcom’s quad-core processor.
In terms of security, the router is equipped with an intelligent network guard function that can automatically update the security signature. This router also supports ASUS’s AiMesh intelligent networking.
