Candy Crush Soda Saga made $2 billion after 6 years of release

Candy Crush is widely popular among Android and iOS users. Popular is an understatement for this game considering the large number of downloads (410 million) in the playstore. As per the report, King’s match-3 title has earned over $2 billion within 6 years of its release i.e, lifetime revenue.

Most of this revenue has come from the United States and India is not far behind. With around 68 million downloads from the US which is 17% of 310 million and 50 million from India which makes up to 12% of the total downloads, Candy Crush has made quite a lot of income from these two countries.

The series themed King’s pop, match three, has become quite popular especially in the US and has earned around 1.1 billion of the revenue from the US alone. This makes 55% of the total. Great Britain also helped in earning a total of $135 million.

The game is popular among all age groups and widely played with the same enthusiasm since it’s release. None of the competitors are able to replace the game or it’s popularity ever since.

Most of the downloads are owed to Google Play (76%) and an average of $3.24 is spent on each download. The amount of money more for iOS users. The iPad users representing 6% spend over $17.41 each and the iPhone users spend around $9.37 for downloads.

Candy Crush King has grossed $450 million which is the highest in the Candy Crush series. The Soda saga has made $85 million which comprise 19% of the income. All the 4 Candy Crush titles together have raised $381 million or 85% of the total income.

The game continues to be popular among the people and more and more users are downloading it every day. The colorful candies and unexpected rewards in the game keeps the players interested and immersed in the game for a long time.
