Huawei patents smartphone with a dual rotating camera up to 180 degrees

Letsgodigital has spotted not one but two back to back designs of an upcoming Huawei handset patent. According to the Letsgodigital report, the recent design of Huawei’s new smartphone patent exposure conveys two features: a full screen and a flip camera. It is expected to be named as Huawei P Smart Z.

As reported that the Chinese tech giant had applied for the two design patents back in 11th June 2019. Both the designs were patented to the European Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO). It should be noted that EUIPO is now included in the WIPO (World Intellectual Property Office) database.

These patents were approved at the end of September this year and were officially announced recently. Both design patents contain renderings showing the design details of the phone.

The first design shows a full-screen design from the front and the chin is relatively wider. The mobile phone adopts a rear “L” type three-camera system. When the user needs a self-timer or a video call, one of the rear cameras can be rotated up to 180 degrees and used as a front camera.

On the other hand, the second design is more or less identical to the first one. The only major difference is that there is a dual-camera system in the back of the phone. When the user needs a self-timer or a video call, both cameras can be rotated and can be used by the current camera.

Both the handsets are expected to feature some sort of screen fingerprint technology because there is no sign of any fingerprint sensor on the back of the phone. Do share your thoughts on Huawei P Smart Z in the comment section below!
