Finally, Ford has unveiled its first fully electric Mustang car. It is named as Mustang Mach-E. Ford revealed that Mach-E will be made available in multiple variants. The base-level variant will be ‘Select’ model and it will come with a price tag of US $ 43895. It will come with options like both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive options. The car comes with a battery pack that lasts up to 230 miles for rear-wheel drive and up to 210 miles for all-wheel drive.
The higher-priced ‘Premium’ Mach-E which model comes with options like both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. It starts with a price tag of US $ 50600. With this model, customers will also be able to get a larger battery pack with an extended range. According to Ford, this Mach-E Premium variant will also last up to 230 miles. All-wheel drive will bring the speed down to 210 miles. This is in exchange for a faster up to 60 mph in the 5-second range. The addition of extended battery pack peaks the rear-wheel-drive up to a range of 300 miles and all-wheel drive up to a range of 270 miles.
Ford revealed that apart from this Base and Premium models, there will be three more variants. California Route 1 Mustang Mach-E comes with a price tag of the US of $ 52400 and it offers extended range. First Edition Mach-E comes with a price tag of US $ 59900. It is a limited-edition model. It comes with an all-wheel-drive and an extended range pack.
Mach-E GT comes with a price tag of US $ 60500. Key features include a special GT badge and a metallic front grille. It has a horsepower of 459.
Apart from these features, all cars offer more or less similar features. Some of them are: a 29 cubic feet of boot space in the back, (can be increased up to 60 cubic feet by folding in the rear seats), 5 cubic feet of space in the hood, a drain plug at the bottom (can be used as a cooler), and two cup holders.
There is a 10.2 inches driver information system behind the steering wheel. It displays information like speed, driving modes, the direction of G-forces, and much more. There is another 15 inches touchscreen infotainment system in the center which shows other controls like volume knobs at the bottom of the console.
