SkyTrek claims that its latest product, Smart Luggage is the world’s first smart luggage that comes with a vertical opening. With the myriad of options of such items, it is hard to verify this claim but it is clear that SkyTrek has surely put a lot of effort behind it.
SkyTrek Luggage bag is backed up by a dual battery system. The removable power source has 5200mAh of charge and can power the suitcase for 11 consecutive days. You can also use the charger to charge your smartphones or laptops or other electronic devices. The battery provides a standby is of 1 month. The battery achieves full charge within 1.5 hours.
The smaller and fully integrated battery is a NI-HM one and it is compliant with airline regulations that can power the suitcase for 3 days if the main power source is removed. Interestingly, when you insert the main battery back, you won’t have to stress about charging 2 batteries because the miniature one will automatically charge itself.
SkyTrek Smart Luggage comes with security features like fingerprint and FaceID lock. It can also be opened with Android security unlock methods. The lock is TSA-compliant. The anti-lost alarm will send notifications in your phone from time to time and prevent you from leaving your suitcase behind. Apart from this, the global tracking system will also ensure that your luggage is never irretrievably lost.
Meanwhile, the smart suitcase comes with removable and customizable shelves, waterproof toiletries bag, packing bags, and a cloth hanger. It makes sure that your suit does not get a single wrinkle while travelling.
SkyTrek Smart Luggage comes in 2 options: Cabin and Check-In. They are priced at the rate of $ 418 and $ 438 respectively. Currently, it is fundraising on Kickstarter and the product is expected to start being shipped from March 2020.
