A well-known music streaming service, Spotify has introduced a dedicated app for kids named Spotify Kids. The newly announced Spotify Kids will be only available for users with Premium Family subscription and currently in beta in Ireland.
With the Spotify Kids, the company aiming to give full control to the parents over the music in the app by choosing which content their child should listen to and not. With this app, their hand-picked content for kids from popular companies like Disney, Nickelodeon, Discovery Kids, and Universal Pictures.
Spotify Kids is a playground of sounds for young listeners that comes with its own user interface with colorful elements. Spotify aims to offer a child-friendly and safety experience to all kids, so the parent doesn’t need to worry about the music or audio stories their children listen to.
It is claimed, that Spotify has been working on this project for around 2 years with lots of research, studies and by gathering insights from reputed children’s organizations like National Children’s Museum and more.
As mentioned, the Spotify Kids is currently in beta and available in Ireland for both Android and iOS platforms. The company stated they will soon roll out the stable version globally to all countries that have Premium Family feature. To remind, the Premium Family subscription plan will cost around $14.99 a month.
