Meizu 16T unveiled with Snapdragon 855 SoC and 4500mAh battery for 1,999 Yuan

Today, Meizu has launched its newest flagship smartphone, the Meizu 16T. There are talks about this smartphone and finally, it arrived in China today. The company unveiled the device with Snapdragon 855 processor with up to 8GB RAM variant and a massive 4500mAh battery. Meizu 16T pricing starts from 1999 Yuan (~$280) and leads up to 2499 Yuan (~$355).

The Meizu 16T sports a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080×2232 pixels and 18:6:9 aspect ratio. It has a Super mTouch in-display fingerprint reader beneath the display. The smartphone is powered by Snapdragon 855 chipset coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.0 onboard storage.

The smartphone is equipped with a triple camera setup at the rear with Sony IMX362 12MP primary lens, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 5MP depth sensor. At the front, it has a 16MP selfie camera with HDR and face unlock features. The device packs a bigger 4500mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. Meizu 16T comes with pre-loaded Android 9 Pie and Flyme 7 UI on the top. The company promised the Meizu 16T will be the first device to get the latest Flyme 8 as earliest.

The company added some cool features for gamers as well. It comes with linear vibration motor and dedicated Game Mode 4.0. In addition, they have collaborated with Tencent to offer a better gaming experience. The device comes in three color variants – Whale Blue, Lake Green and Daylight Orange.

Talking about the pricing and availability, the Meizu 16T 6GB + 128GB variant priced at 1999 Yuan, the 8GB + 128GB variant cost around 2299 Yuan while the top variant with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage comes with a price tag of 2499 Yuan. The smartphones are up for pre-sale starting today in China and official sales begin from October 28. Alongside, the company announced Meizu HD60 Bluetooth Headphones for 499 Yuan.
