In the Google hardware event in New York, the company announced Pixelbook Go laptop alongside Pixel 4, Pixel 4 XL, Pixel Buds, Pixel Wi-Fi and Nest Mini. The new Pixelbook, Pixelbook Go is a portable laptop with a touchscreen display that runs on ChromeOS.
Google Pixelbook Go comes with a lightweight design with a textured bottom, sleek matte finish and magnesium casing. It has a 13.3 inches FHD display with a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels. It supports 4K video. The laptop comes in 4 variants in terms of processor, RAM, and storage. The highest variant is powered by an 8th Gen Intel Core i7 processor and a 16 GB RAM and offers an SSD storage of 256 GB.
The laptop sports a 1080 pixel webcam and dual front speakers. With this laptop, Google has also improved the keyboard. Now, the keyboard is a full size backlit one. Moreover, there are Hush keys that are designed to minimize noise disruption and a dedicated Google Assistant key.
Google has also integrated the Titan C security chip, FIDO authenticator, Ambient Light sensor and Magnetic sensor. In the event, the company disclosed that this laptop can deliver 12 hours of battery life with a 20 minutes charge.
Google Pixelbook Go comes in two color option, Just Black and Not Pink. The device is tagged with a price tag of 649 US $ (~ Rs. 46390) for Intel Core m3 + 8 GB RAM + 64 GB storage, 849 US $ (~ Rs. 60700) for Intel Core i5 + 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage, 999 US $ (~ Rs. 71425) for Core i5 + 16 GB RAM + 128 GB storage, and 1399 US $ (~ Rs. 100027) for Core i7 + 16 GB RAM and 256 GB storage.
