At its latest hardware event in New York City, Google has updated its neckband-style wireless earphones Pixel Buds by introducing Pixel Buds 2. Unlike its previous generation, Pixel Buds earbuds are no longer tethered with a string. Google has followed the footsteps of Apple Airpods and Samsung Galaxy Buds as these Pixel Buds are now truly wireless.
Pixel Buds is specially designed to offer ultimate comfort to its users. However, it does not come as a surprise at all as the tech giant has already used this in-ear detection technology. This in-ear detection technology automatically detects when they are plugged in your ear. After the detection, the flat surface outside offers you touch controls and with this, you can pause, play, and adjust the volume.
More or less, the charging case of Pixel Buds 2 resembles a thicker version of the Apple Airpods charging case. The charging case has a rounded egg shape design.
In the event, Google discussed the big range Bluetooth connectivity of the earbuds. It is conveyed to the viewers by the company that they will be able to listen to music with these earbuds even if they are three rooms away from the phone.
Google has also integrated Pixel Buds with the Google Assistant. All you have to do is say “Hey Google” and the beam forming microphone will bring up the Assistant to life in your ear to answer your queries. It should be noted that you would not need to pull out your Pixel phone to do it and everything can be done by the earbud itself.
Meanwhile, Google has not revealed the real battery size of the charging case but they disclosed that it will provide users with 24 hours of battery life. On the other hand, the earbuds are said to offer 5 hours of playback with a single charge.
Google Pixel Buds 2 is tagged with a price tag of $179 and it will be made available for sale in 2020. Do share your thoughts on this awesome looking new Google Pixel Buds in the comment section below!
