    OPPO Reno Ace debuts with 90Hz display, SD855+ and 65W fast charging


    Yesterday, Oppo unveiled its newest flagship smartphone named Oppo Reno Ace. The device comes with tons of features at an affordable price. It includes 90Hz display, Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC, 65W fast charging and more with a price tag of just 3,199 Yuan that’s roughly $450.

    The Oppo Reno Ace sports a 6.5-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels that supports the 90Hz refresh rate. It also has an integrated fingerprint sensor beneath the display. At the rear, is equipped with a quad-camera setup that includes a 48MP primary shooter, a 13MP telephoto lens, an 8MP macro camera. At the front, it has a 16-megapixel selfie shooter.

    Under the hood, the Reno Ace is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855+ processor paired with 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.0 storage. The device adopts a special cooling technology design to regulate it reduce the temperate with a dedicated heat dissipation pipe. It packs a 4,000mAh battery with 65W fast charging support. The company claims, it only takes 5 minutes to fuel the device up to 27%.

    The smartphone comes with pre-loaded ColorOS 6.1 based on Android 10 with Game Boost 2.0, Frame Boost 2.0 and Touch Boost 2.0. Other connectivity option includes 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, dual-frequency GPS, NFC, USB-C and 3.5mm audio jack. The device comes in two color variants – Electroacoustic Violet and Interstellar Blue.

    As reported earlier, Oppo has announced Reno Ace Gundam Edition and a special edition gamepad excusably for Reno Ace smartphones. It is also to be noted that the company will be selling only 30,000 retail units of Oppo Reno Ace Gundam Edition.

    Talking about the pricing and availability, the Reno Ace starts from 3,199 Yuan and the top variant priced at 3,799 Yuan. That seems quite affordable when compared with OnePlus 7T and OnePlus 7T Pro. The device will be available for sale from October 17 in China and the limited edition can be pre-ordered from 21st October. The Unicorn Gundam C1 gamepad is priced at 299 Yuan and it will be available from Nov 11.
