Brandon LeBlanc of the Windows Insider team said that the last version of Insider Preview delivered to the Windows Insider team is going to be the final version. Brandon said: “We believe that Build 18363.418 is the final version, and we will continue to improve the overall experience of 19H2 on the client PC, which is part of our regular work.” He further noted that this version contains all the latest 19H2 features.
Microsoft will provide an upcoming release of Windows 10 November 2019 as a cumulative update. The update will completely focus on performance improvements and OS stability without any major changes to the operating system.
It should be noted that the internal version of Windows 10’s May 2019 update was 18362.418, while the upcoming internal version of the Windows 10 November 2019 update is going to be 18364.418.
The May 20th update (version 1903) and the November 2019 update (version 1909) share the same cumulative update package. The only difference is that the build number has been increased from 18363 to 18364.
Brandon said: “Because they use the same service content, the version revision number (the number after the point) will always match between the May 2019 update and the 2019 November update. Installed May 2019. The updated system version is Build 18362.418, but the Windows Insiders updated in Windows 2019 is Build 18363.418.”
Once the Windows 10 November 2019 update is finalized, Microsoft will gradually begin to shift its testing efforts to the Windows 10 20H1-2020 operating system. If a user doesn’t want to test Windows 10 2020 immediately and wants to stick to the November 2019 update then he/she have to go `Update and Security’ from `Settings’ and then to `Windows Insider’ to ensure that he/she is in the Release Preview ring.
In simple words, it is now possible to upgrade to the most stable version of Windows 10, Win 10 1903.
