    Hyper X Cloud Alpha S gaming headset launched with improved features


    Back in May, HyperX unveiled their new Cloud Alpha S gaming headset at the Computex 2019 event. Now, after 4 months, HyperX has finally disclosed about the availability and pricing of the gaming headset. The gaming headset comes with a price tag of $130 and it is now made available through HyperX’s network of retail and e-tail outlets.

    Key specifications of HyperX’s latest gaming headset, Cloud Alpha S includes custom-tuned HyperX virtual 7.1 surround sound and bass adjustment sliders for three levels of bass fine-tuning. Together, they deliver a magnificent audio gaming experience to the users. It is made of a durable aluminum frame.

    It comes with an advanced audio control mixer that keeps all the important functions within easy reach. Users can adjust game and chat audio balance, mute the mic, and adjust volume without leaving the game. Detachable noise-cancellation microphone and cable allow clear voice communication with background noise cancellation.

    Business Manager of HyperX, Julien Millet said “The Cloud Alpha S marries stunning 7.1 surround sound with the same top-notch aesthetics and comfort as the original HyperX Cloud Alpha. With these new enhancements, HyperX is expanding its line of HyperX headsets to meet the needs of a range of gamers at all levels.”

    The headphone driver is of 50 mm technology with neodymium. They are custom dynamic as well. It offers a frequency response between 13 Hz to 27 kHz and an impedance of 65 Ω. The sound pressure level is 99dBSPL/mW at 1 kHz with T.H.D. not less than 1%. Overall, the device weighs 310g and along with the mic, it weighs 321 g. The cable length is of 1 m. The plug with 4 poles is of 3.5 mm.

    On the other hand, the microphone comes with a frequency response between 50 Hz to 18 Hz and it has a sensitivity of 38dBV (0 dB=1 V/Pa at 1 kHz). It weighs only 57g and the cable length is of 2 m.
