All the newly launched Huawei Mate 30 series devices are enrolled with EMUI 10 interface which is based on Android 10. The device will not be enrolled with Google apps. In spite of Google Apps user will be using Huawei App Gallery to download the apps which are a big hurdle for many users.
The latest EMUI has introduced many features so as to address the complaints of the user. Huawei is trying to incorporate new elements to the overall design language. The most used elements are places at the bottom of the screen for ease to the user. For example, the contact app has all the information at the bottom whereas the top half screen is covered by the contact image. This is a good move by Huawei to make the user interface appealing to the eyes.

The same design approach as mentioned earlier is used in every part of EMUI 10. Thus providing a cleaner and modern look.
Real World Physics Animation
The introduction of “natural” animations is another small change in EMUI 10. Huawei claims that it has done many changes in the animations and modeled them on real-world physics. For example, when a button is pressed in the screen the animations will be like the real pressing of the button where the button is depressed while pressing and springing up later.
By improving the transition between the apps, Huawei has smoothened their appearance and reduced the appearance lag while transitioning. A new feature “Projectile Motion” animation is incorporated for app exit where the user can move the window around the screen and it will fly backward towards the home screen app icon.
The new animations are claimed to get a positive response from most media outlets. They claim this feature as alluring, snappy and providing smooth user experience
Camera with new filter options
The EMUI 10 camera app has the majority of visual changes. The biggest change is the move from a Leica style of font and icon. The scrolling between the camera modes is polished. The zoom level switch is placed at the right side. Not many big improvements are present.
New filter options along with a slider to control the amount of filter has been rolled out in the new EMUI 10. The “vivid”, “smooth” and “standard” color options are removed. Any major changes in the camera are not introduced.
All-Time favorite “Dark Mode” actual black
One of the key features of EMUI 10 and Android Q is the dark mode. Huawei has put in a lot of efforts to strengthen its Dark Mode feature, introducing user with a wide range of colors, icons and styles that can be read easily in low light.
The Huawei Dark Mode introduces an improved for the palette. When Dark Mode is selected the icon colors are also changed so that they are easy to look at and causes less strain to the user’s eye. The dark mode is actually black, not grey which is quite thoughtful of Huawei. The pre-installed apps like email clock, notes etc also come under the Dark Mode apart from the OS UI.
It’s not a big update, but still, we love it. The company done some improvements with the Always-on Display feature. The new update includes a frequent color change throughout the day, the interesting thing is these colors are random and you can’t guess what’s next.
EMUI 10 also brings a new magazine-style layout. Also, it comes with elegant design that allows users to get full access to the device in simple clicks. As mentioned above, Huawei has brought the required apps to the bottom of the screen with a minimalist look. Whether its Settings app or Calendar or any other pre-installed Huawei app and all features the same clean and modern look by making it accessible easier than before. Overall, the UI is clean and neat to spot any icons.
Privacy & Integration
At last, Huawei took some steps on privacy. The new update features a well as phone-to-cloud end-to-end encryption and it can protect the users from app tracking. The company claims, only the owner of the device can get access to those messages. That’s really a cool feature!
With EMUI10, users can early transfer files between any two devices. The device in a sense, smartphone, and Laptops. Also, the new update allows users to access the phone directly from their laptops.
