Latest HP EliteBook, the HP Elite Dragonfly is a business laptop but it does not look like one. The device comes in a lightweight magnesium unibody. It is painted in deep blue shades. Overall, the look makes it look more like a premium consumer laptop than a business laptop.
Elite Dragonfly comes with a 13.3 inches display and weighs less than 1 kg. Eventually, it is lighter than other HP EliteBook devices. It is a 2 in 1 laptop which means the user will be able to bend the gadget in 360 degrees to use it as a tablet or to simply write on its display. Obviously, a stylus can be used but HP sells them separately.
HP Elite Dragonfly is powered by an 8th Gen Intel Core U-series vPro processor. This is the very same processor which Intel advertised as “enterprise-class, but consumer-friendly”. There are multiple variants of the model in terms of CPU. In terms of CPU, users can choose from Intel Core i3-8145U to Intel Core i7-8565U.
All the models come with Intel UHD Graphics 620 integrated graphics. The entry model ships 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB M.2 SATA drive. It can be configured up to 16GB of dual-channel LPDDR3 RAM and 2TB of NVMe SSD storage.
The device comes with two Thunderbolt 3 ports, one USB 3.1 port, one HDMI port, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, and a Kensington lock. The laptop comes with a 720p webcam which sits above the display. The camera supports Windows Hello. Apart from this, there is also a fingerprint sensor on the palm rest. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) which allows 5x faster internet speeds than 802.11ac. You can also opt for 4G LTE!
HP has integrated 4×4 antennas in the device to that model improve transfer speeds compared to the 2×2 antenna arrangement. There are two battery options: 56Wh and 38Wh and both of them support HP Fast Charge.
Talking about the price and availability, the HP Elite Dragonfly laptop is pricing at $1,459 and will be available for sale from October 25. It is expected that HP will release the Indian variant soon and we can expect to price around Rs. 1,10,400. Still not confirmed!
