Xiaomi launched Mint keyboard supporting 23 Indic languages

Xiaomi has been one of the leading smartphone players in the market. It revolutionized the smartphone industry in India with the introduction of Xiaomi Mi A3. They have launched many devices to attract customers. Recently they have launched a Mint Keyboard app for Android users.

The Mint Keyboard app can accurately predict regional languages and will also have an AI feature to offer a better typing experience. On this app, 27 languages are supported by the mint keyboard of which 23 are Indic languages. The languages consist of English, Urdu, Hindi, Malayalam, Punjabi, Bengali, Marathi, Telugu. Sanskrit and many more. The size of the app is 14 MB and it can be used in both Xiaomi and non-Xiaomi device.

The keyboard is equipped with many features like speech to text, real-time emoji suggestion during chats, super-fast typing with swiping, customization of font style, funny stickers, accurate prediction, suggestion and correction for English and 23 Indic languages, claims Xiaomi in a blog post on Mi community.

Xiaomi blog post claims that the Artificial intelligence (AI) engine of the keyboard gets accustomed to user’s typing personalization which includes things like shortcuts, slang, local language words and personal emoji preference. The users can also create personalized themes by making use of their regional languages and photos. GIF packs and multiple font styles created by a real artist can also be used by users.

“Mint Keyboard is designed for Indian users with cutting edge AI to enrich the expressions and conversations,” Xiaomi notes. “Your keyboard’s AI engine learns continuously and personalizes to match your unique way of typing – including your local language words, shortcuts, slang and personal emoji preferences. You can create your personalized themes using your photos, chat with multiple font styles, speak in regional languages and much more.”
