Soon after the IFA 2019, Huawei officially released a promo video of Huawei Watch GT 2. The promo video reveals the design and launch date of Huawei Watch GT 2. Interestingly, the Watch GT 2 will be equipped with Kirin A1 chipset. Huawei is gearing up to host an event to launch Huawei Watch GT 2 on 19th September in Munich alongside Huawei Mate 30 series.
The promo video was posted on Huawei Official Weibo account. As per the video, the smartwatch to sports an AMOLED screen with thinner bezels. On the right side of the watch, it has two physical controls and the entire appearance seems like a lightweight smartwatch. The Huawei Watch GT 2 will be powered by Kirin A1 processor mentioning “Creating a World of new possibilities.”
Overall the design of the Watch GT 2 looks exactly like Roland Quandt leak. We expecting a bigger battery, integrated speakers and a microphone with easy controls.
The Weibo post says, “On September 19th, explore the boundaries of imagination [refueling] Another terminal product equipped with #Kirin A1 is about to be released, stamp video, guess what new changes will be brought to our smart life.”
To remind, Huawei Watch GT was first announced in October 2018 along with Mate 20 Pro smartphone. We already reported about the Huawei Watch GT 2 specs based on leaks. As per the leak, Huawei Watch GT 2 codenamed “Latona” and carries the model number LTN-B19. The bunch of leaked renders reveals the design and specs of the smartwatch. Huawei Watch GT 2 comes AMOLED screen with a slimmer bezel and some changes to the display than its successor.
The smartwatch is expected to boast a 445mAh battery that can last up to 2 weeks on normal usage and 5ATM water-resistant and dustproof. And there will be two variants, one of them will be powered by Lite OS and others will have Harmony OS (Classic/Sports).
Finally, the official also revealed that Huawei Watch GT 2 will be released on September 19 in Munich alongside Huawei Mate30 series. This will be second Huawei product to be equipped with Kirin A1 chipset right after Huawei FreeBuds 3 earphones.
