Canon C500 Mark II cine camera officially released with full-frame CMOS sensor

A few weeks back we reported about the Canon C500 Mark II and today Canon officially unveiled it. The Canon C500 Mark II is an improved version of Canon EOS C500 under cinema camera segments. The C500 Mark II comes under mid-range cinema camera with advanced features.

The C500 Mark II will be the first Canon’s camera to feature a full-frame CMOS sensor and it supports 5.9K video recording. The company claims “a cinematic, immersive Full Frame look combined with Canon’s natural, smooth skin-tone and faithful colour reproduction.”

The camera has 5-axis electronic stabilization with dual CFExpress slots and user-swappable mounts. It uses the new DIGIC DV 7 image processor and dual-pixel autofocus technology with a maximum dynamic range of 15.

In addition, it is capable of capturing videos in Cinema RAW Light format 5.9K/60P, 4K60P, 2K/120P video (2K/120P for crop mode), or XF -AVC records 4K/60P, 2K/120P video, supports Canon Log 2, Canon Log 3, and Wide DR three color styles along with two HDR formats – PQ/Hybrid Log.
