Sony WI-1000XM2 wireless earbuds announced with Google Assistant and Alexa

Sony WI-1000XM2 wireless earphones announced at IFA 2019. Alongside, Sony unveiled a range of new products from smartphones to smart televisions. With the new noise cancellation in-ear earphones, Sony refreshes its wireless neckband portfolio.

Sony WI-1000XM2 comes in neckband design and it is powered by Sony’s HD Noise Cancelling Processor QN1. The new earphones is equipped with a 9mm dynamic driver unit with Digital Noise-canceling, 32bit Audio Single Processing and dual noise sensor technology.

The headphones comes with a massive battery built into the neckband that can last up to 10 hours of playback on a single charge. It also supports voice assistant support via Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa and it comes with “Sense Engine”. The wireless earphone comes with Bluetooth 5.0 for connectivity and it has a built-in microphone.

Sony has added dedicated playback buttons to control and to turn on the noise cancelation feature. The company claims that the new earphones is the best and most advanced wireless neckband headphones ever designed by Sony.

Talking about the pricing, the Sony WI-1000XM2 comes with a price tag of £300 and will be available for sale after January 2020. It quite expensive, still Sony wants to keep up with the pace of its neckband earphones lineup.
