Update: Huawei Watch GT 2 with Kirin A1 set to launch on 19th September

Huawei Watch GT 2 is an upcoming smartwatch from Huawei under its GT series. Huawei Watch GT was first announced in October 2018 along with Mate 20 Pro smartphone. Huawei is gearing up to launch its new Huawei Watch GT 2 alongside the Huawei Mate 30 series later this month. Today, WinFuture shared some bunch of press renders of the upcoming Huawei Watch GT 2.

The Huawei Watch GT 2 codenamed “Latona” and carries the model number LTN-B19. The bunch of leaked renders reveals the design and specs of the smartwatch. Huawei Watch GT 2 comes AMOLED screen with a slimmer bezel and some changes to the display than its successor.

However, it seems Huawei will launch in two version – International and Chinese. The international version will be powered by Huawei’s Lite OS while the China version will have Harmony OS. Not a Wear OS! The gadget will be available in two variants – Classic and Sports.

Huawei Watch GT 2 packs a 445mAh battery and its compatible with bother Android and iOS platforms. It also includes intergraded mic and loudspeaker. Like the Huawei Watch GT, the second generation will GPS tracker, heart rate monitor sensor, Bluetooth 5.0 and even an LTE version.

Huawei should have improved its battery life and some rumors suggest it would last up to 2 weeks. Also, the company added some new workout modes to monitor the fitness activities more efficiently and accurately. We also expect the smartwatch to feature 5ATM water-resistant and dustproof.

The Huawei Watch GT 2 expected to be officially unveiled on 19th September along with Huawei Mate 30 series in China. We should hear more about the wearable in the coming days.
