The smartphone holds 8 MP primary and a 2 MP secondary camera respectively. Thuraya X5 Touch runs on Android Nougat 7 and is backed up by a 3800mAh battery. The battery offers a talk time of 11 hours and a standby time of 100 hours.

Thuraya X5 Touch comes with IP67 water dust resistant capabilities along with a MIL-STD-810 certification. A MIL-STD-810 certification suggests that the device can withstand extreme conditions.

Apart from this, it also possesses other general capabilities of a good smartphone such as dual SIM support that can run in 2G, 3G and 4G networks, WiFi connectivity, BeiDou connectivity, Bluetooth connectivity, GPS, NFC, and GLONASS. The dual SIM Android satellite smartphone offers GSM / LTE network access along with satellite coverage. However, it should be noted that the smartphone does not cover satellite network in North or South America. For these regions exclusively, you need to have a handset with Iridium or Inmarsat network access. However, GSM coverage is available throughout.
