Oppo has launched the all-new Reno series including – Reno 2, Reno Z and Reno 2 F with Snapdragon and quad-camera setup. The first look released, with a 30-second promo display showcases simple design yet wonderfully equipped features with an aesthetic touch of quad cameras. Reno being the sequel of the predecessor is yet unique in its own ways.
Oppo Reno 2 sports a 6.55-inch Dynamic AMOLED display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels with Gorilla Glass 6 protection. The 3D curved design gives a hands-on experience to catch up on a classy device. The flat back display with ceramic coating protects from any scratches.
The Reno 2 is powered by a Snapdragon 730G processor with 8GB of RAM and 256GB internal storage, making it fastest in line and with an additional game boost 3.0 feature for the better gaming experience. The device is equipped with four rear cameras that include, a 13MP shooter with 5x hybrid zoom and 48MP Sony IMX586 1/2.0” sensor with f/1.7 aperture and a 2-megapixel monochrome sensor with a 116-degree ultra-wide-angle sensor.
At the front, it has a shark-fin rising camera mechanism that pops-out with 16MP selfie camera. The Z and F series have the same camera display except Z uses a Sony IMX586 sensor for the 48-megapixel camera while the F goes for Samsung’s cheaper GM1 module.
One key feature that is covered by Reno 2 is the optical image stabilization (OIS) which is not used by the rest. Oppo Reno 2 comes with ultra-dark mode, ultra macro shot, an ultra steady mode (1080p @ 60fps) and 20x digital zooming. The device runs Oppo’s ColorOS 6, based on Android 9 Pie out of the box. All three phones have USB-C, a 3.5mm headphone jack and 4,000mAh battery with support of 20W VOOC 3.0 flash charging.
Oppo Reno 2 will be available in two color variants, Luminous Black and Ocean Blue and scheduled for sale starting from 20th September with pre-bookings from 10th September.
About the pricing, the Oppo Reno 2 is priced at Rs 36,990 in India and Reno Z will cost around Rs 29,990 with first units to ship on September 6, whereas nothing has been confirmed for Reno F yet. In addition, the company has launched Oppo Enco Q1 headphones in India.
