Fitbit has officially announced its next-generation smartwatch named, Versa 2. The Fitbit Versa 2 comes with lots of new features that include a better processor, a good display, Amazon Alexa, Spotify and long-lasting battery. The Versa 2 pricing starts from $199.99 and will be available for sale from 15th September.
Unveiling the Versa 2, the hands-down advantage of Alexa gave a predominant start to the same. The Versa 2 sports an AMOLED display with an always-on feature and a powerful processor. The smartwatch also supports Amazon Alexa voice assistant to connect through smartphones and allow to make calls, texts, weather predictions, etc.
Fitbit Versa 2 is water-resistant up to 50 meters. Other feature includes 24/7 heart-rate monitoring, female health-tracking, on-device workouts and new 15+ modes to monitor the fitness activities. Sadly, the smartwatch doesn’t include built-in GPS, instead, it uses smartphone’s GPS to locate.
The new Versa 2 to compete directly with Apple Watch series, though the iWatch lack some features of Versa 2. Likewise, Versa 2 doesn’t have electrocardiogram sensors and other health features.
Fitbit sure hit it in the right direction after letting the users binge listen to Spotify! The company promises up to 5 days of battery life on normal usage.
Talking about the pricing and availability, the Fitbit Versa 2 is priced at $199.95 and available for preorder now from September 15. The special edition version comes with a nylon woven band, a classic band and access to Fitbit Premium subscription will cost $230. Later for the changes, Fitbit might introduce you to coaching pilot that helps you chat with professional trainers. The steady launch is an uprise to cater to the demands of the users and a must buy.
Fitbit also announced a cheaper version of its smart weighing scale, the Aria Air with a starting price of $49.95. The company surely has previously satisfied customers with an overwhelming result, This might just be another feather in the cap!
