Xiaomi is gearing up to announce the 70-inch Redmi TV in an event scheduled on August 29 in China. Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun took to Weibo and revealed a launch event poster of Redmi Smart TV. The poster just revealed the launch date of Redmi Smart TV and its size. Still, we don’t know how exactly the 70-inch Redmi TV will look like. To make sure that, today Redmi TV press renders were posted on Weibo.

Talking about the Redmi TV, we already know that Redmi TV going to come on a 70-inch display. The leaked press renders of Redmi TV shows the design of Redmi TV. The design looks very simple and it has small bezels equal on all sides. The Redmi Logo branding was mounted below.

We expect Redmi TV will have a 4K display, Dolby Audio system, and a Bluetooth voice remote. Comparing the price of Mi TV 4 (75-inch) which cost around $1277, we expect the Redmi TV price tag less than that.

To remind, Redmi TV has already appeared with a product name “L70M5” on National Quality Certification Center listing and acquired 3C certification. The product certification was issued on July 19th under the name TPV Technology (Xiamen) Co. Also, Redmi TV is rumored to be available in two sizes – 40 inches and 70 inches models. Instead, we don’t have any information about the 40-inch model on that poster.

Li Xiaoshuang, General Manager of Xiaomi TV shared a note about the upcoming Redmi TV on Weibo. He mentioned “Xiaomi TV has a strong team, and has outstanding performance in terms of image quality, sound effects, and systems. It will take time to reach the level of Xiaomi TV”.

We expect to hear more about the products before the launch day, August 29.
