A new patent suggests Dell upcoming display will be featuring a foldable design with narrow bezels and narrow width dual axes hinge for better portability. Dell has filed this patent titled “Information Handling System Narrow Width Hinge” on August 8, 2019 at the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
According to the patent, Dell is working on some foldable displays that will be equipped with some new gear, for smoother rotation. Also, the company claims, the display will have a narrow bezel and narrow width of the hinge elements offer a gap between displays.
For smoother actions, Dell is using a new gear assembly that helps to synchronize the motion of dual axles at one end of the dual axles. Also mentioned, “Dual axes hinge rotationally couples portable information handling system hosing portions to each other with minimal spacing between the housing portion.”
Last year, Dell has filed a patent, while comparing with it both looks similar to each other. In the new patent Dell mentioned, “A display integrated in the upper surface of each housing portion presets the visual information as vial images.”
The patent is for Dell’s upcoming 2-in-1 device or a tablet and it to feature a foldable screen with narrow width dual axes hinge. We can expect more information about this product in the coming weeks.
