WhatsApp is rolling out a new feature that allows users to unlock WhatsApp just by using the Fingerprint scanner. The new WhatsApp Fingerprint Unlock feature is currently available for WhatsApp Beta users. It allows users to hide notifications and set time intervals.
As reported, WhatsApp Beta v2.19.221 allows users to test the WhatsApp fingerprint lock feature and report if any bug found. Soon WhatsApp will release the stable version with the same feature. With this, you can still able to get notifications and reply to messages. But in order to open the WhatsApp, you need fingerprint access. Also, you can choose the locking intervals and hide the notification content.
The fingerprint lock time interval includes three options – 1 minute, 3 minutes or immediately. iSO users will get an additional option fo 15 minutes. The report also says, WhatsApp is currently working on Dark Mode feature and the feature will be available in coming 3 months.
How to Enable Fingerprint Lock on WhatsApp?
You need to download and install WhatsApp for Android Beta v2.19.221. If you are using an older version, try to reinstall your WhatsApp with the beta version.
To enable the fingerprint lock feature, head to WhatsApp Settings > Account > Privacy > Fingerprint Lock. Just, Toggle the option and verify it with your fingerprint. That’s it!
