Last week, Intel refreshed its processor lineup with the latest 10th generation Ice Lake mobile processor. Today. some unknown laptops with Intel Lakefield processor added in the EEC database. It was expected to see devices with Intel’s Lakefield chipset later this year, but ahead of it, the new database gives hints about the mysterious ultrabook or tablet device.
On August 8, the documentation has filed for a new ultrabook model with the Eurasian Economic Commission database. In that document mentioning “Portable Personal Tablet Computers, Lakefield Mobile” confirms about the new device with Intel Lakefield processor. We can expect an ultrabook or laptop with a convertible design. The document also reveals the publication date and its valid for 5 years. In the manufacture section, Intel Corporation was mentioned.
However, the document doesn’t reveal any other information about the product. But it’s sure we can expect some Lakefield based portable devices soon within this year.
FYI, Intel Lakefield processor will be the first to use Intel’s new technology called the Foveros 3D packing and its on 10nm chipset. The company focused on its performance to compete against the Qualcomm in the SoC space. Sure, the 10nm Lakefield SoC designed for portable devices and laptops. The computing chip comes with 4 smaller CPU cores and a single Sunny Cove CPU architecture core. It promises less power consumption and high-speed connectivity. As per some reports, the production process is already in progress.
