We have known that the speculation around Google Pixel 4 does not seem to stop. Although we have seen many leaks regarding the Google Pixel 4, there is nothing substantial at the moment. However, we also know that Google itself tweeted a photo showing the back design of its Pixel 4. This was because the design was widely leaked and Google thought it is better to showcase it themselves. However, there are also people saying that this might be a fake from Google and the design might be different.
While that would be a great comeback from Google if it happens, we have to believe that the revealed design is the official one. Now, one more interesting detail regarding Google Pixel 4 is leaked. From a Google Camera apk teardown, we have come to know about the possible sensor used in Pixel 4. As we know, there will be a dual camera set up on the Google Pixel 4.
Now, the Google Camera code reveals that this could be a telephoto lens. However, this has left many fans disappointed because a wide angle lens would have been much better. This telephoto lens on Google Pixel 4 is said to be a 12MP one according to the code. The code clearly says “Rear Telephoto” sensor id and we know there is no Google device with a telephoto lens. Also, the code reveals that there will be a wide angle and a regular lens on the front.
What the telephoto lens does is that it can zoom back and forth while taking an image. Although Google Pixel 3 still does this, it is via software and not via a physical lens. Therefore, the results are great but not the best possible. It might still be possible that the non-digital zoom on Google Pixel 4 can offer up to 5x or 10x zoom but we will have to wait and see.
